Ricky Thornton Jr., a talented and accomplished dirt track racer from Chandler, Arizona, began his racing career in 2005 at the age of 14, competing in the Factory Stock division. By 2007, he had won Rookie of the Year and secured his first modified track championship at Manzanita Speedway. Over the years, Ricky has captured over 300 career wins and 30 championships across multiple racing divisions. His success spans the IMCA Modifieds and Late Models, including historic victories at the IMCA Super Nationals, where he became the first driver to win titles in both divisions in the same year in 2020.
Ricky’s racing prowess continues to grow, with significant wins in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and prestigious events like the Dirt Track World Championship. His impressive performances have earned him recognition as one of the sport’s most formidable competitors. Today, Ricky competes full-time, supported by his wife Shae and their three children.
