Team: Elite Motorsports
Driver: Aaron Stanfield
Aaron Stanfield is a third-generation drag racer — the son of five-time NHRA Lucas Oil Series world champion Greg Stanfield — and is widely regarded as one of the most versatile drivers in NHRA competition today. Driving the Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance / Janac Brothers Racing Chevrolet Camaro for Elite Motorsports, he has become a perennial Pro Stock contender since joining the class full-time in 2020.
Stanfield enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2024, advancing to seven final rounds and earning five victories during a red-hot summer stretch that vaulted him to the Pro Stock points lead entering the Countdown to the Championship. His season was highlighted by a historic double-up at the 2024 U.S. Nationals, where he captured both the Pro Stock and Factory X titles on the same day — the first driver in the event’s 70-year history to achieve the feat.
Carrying that momentum into 2025, Stanfield opened the year with a Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty Challenge win and a semifinal finish at the Thunder Valley Nationals, keeping Elite Motorsports squarely in the championship hunt. Known for lightning-quick reaction times and a calm, methodical approach, he also works alongside his family’s engine-development business and mentors younger racers, underscoring his commitment to the sport both on and off the track.
