Team: Elite Motorsports
Driver: Fernando Cuadra Sr.
A native of León, Mexico, Fernando Cuadra Sr. parlayed the success of his luxury-footwear empire, Corral Boots, into a late-in-life Pro Stock career that began with his NHRA debut in 2003. Although the veteran reached two national-event finals, the always-smiling patriarch remained win-hungry through 0 victories and 0 No. 1 qualifiers, proving that perseverance—not trophies—defined his time behind the wheel.
Cuadra’s real milestone arrived at the 2023 Charlotte Four-Wide Nationals, when he lined up alongside sons Fernando Jr., Cristian, and David—marking the first time a father and three sons ever raced four-abreast in NHRA Pro Stock history.
On his 65th birthday weekend in April 2024, Cuadra took one final lap at the Charlotte Four-Wide Nationals before hanging up his helmet and formally handing both the family business and racing responsibilities to the next generation. He now serves as mentor and motivator for “The Cuadra Boys,” ensuring that the family’s trademark blend of hard work, hospitality, and horsepower continues to enrich the Elite Motorsports camp.
