Team: Sean Michael Racing
Driver: Sean Michael
A fixture of Pennsylvania sprint-car lore, Allentown’s Sean Michael exploded onto the Central PA 410 scene in 1998 after conquering micro-sprints and United Racing Club (URC) 360s. He captured URC championships in 1997 and 1999, earned the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame’s 410 Rookie-of-the-Year award in 1998, and racked up more than 25 URC feature victories while adding wins at Lincoln, Williams Grove, and Port Royal in 410 competition.
Through the 2000s Michael became a respected “double-duty” threat, mixing Central PA starts with select World of Outlaws and All Star Circuit of Champions appearances, all while serving his hometown as a professional firefighter. Even after scaling back to a pick-and-choose schedule, the ageless veteran remains fast—most recently guiding his Engler-injected No. 5G to top-five runs in URC and 360 open shows and mentoring younger drivers on chassis setup and slick-track race craft.
Today, Michael balances limited driving dates with overseeing Sean Michael Racing’s in-house program and cultivating sponsor partnerships that showcase American-made manufacturing—proving that three decades on, “The Fireman” can still light up the cushion when the green flag drops.
