At just nineteen years old, Clovis-born Corey Day has become one of open-wheel racing’s hottest properties – and he’s doing it on every surface that will have him. 2023 was the springboard: Day captured both the King of the West 410 Sprint Car title and the coveted Trophy Cup, then led every lap of Chico’s Gold Cup finale for his first World of Outlaws victory.
He followed that breakout with an even bigger 2024, repeating as Trophy Cup champion, winning the Midweek Money Series and multiple High Limit Racing features, and – two days after his nineteenth birthday – becoming the youngest winner in the 83-year history of the Turkey Night Grand Prix. A Chili Bowl Nationals preliminary win and third-place finish in the Saturday A-Main added indoor luster to an already packed résumé.
For 2025 the teenager remains Jason Meyers Racing’s spearhead on the High Limit tour while expanding his asphalt horizons: a Hendrick Motorsports deal puts him in selected NASCAR Xfinity and Truck races, with additional ARCA starts for Spire Motorsports. Whether carving the cushion in his Durst-backed No. 14 or taming Martinsville’s paperclip in a Chevy Camaro, Day continues to prove that prodigious talent and fearlessness travel well.
